It had everything, personal, local national and global. Una tied these together with well-combined doses of funny, moving, controversial and politically engaging themes within her breathing burlesque space. In one word, Fabulous!

I have seen Una Aya Osato's work before at the Frigid Festival, so I
got myself there for the opening night of her new piece, exHOTic
other, and was blown away again!
A mixture of storytelling of her own life experiences both joyful and
sad- and politically galvanizing, her alluring burlesque moves, and
minimal set and sound changes that were as captivating and vivacious
as she is- left me on the edge of my seat. I was surprised, but never
lost, ready to follow her glittery footsteps wherever she took me.
She is hilarious, profound and incredibly alive. Everyday issues that
conflict her heart and sense of justice, questioning her identity and
place in the world- such as gentrification, Israel and Palestine,
loving and losing love- are explored through the art of burlesque, a
form with its own inherent contradictions for the performer and the
audience intertwined with pleasure. exHOTic other aroused ALL of my
senses! I highly recommend!

The show was fabulous. The performances of both actresses were
outstanding. The play was funny yet took on serious issues with aplomb. I strongly recommend it!!

Spotlight on Gillian English
I feel incredibly lucky to be able to work with such funny people that I also get to call my friends. Y'all should be seriously jealous.

I thought it was physical theater at its best! The Sandman's Coming takes the audience on a deeply realistic, emotional journey of what it is to be in love with someone suffering from addiction. It is extremely relatable and refreshingly honest!

The acting was GREAT. The story and music and words were all in place, but the best thing about this show was I couldn't help but wonder what it could be like with money. Obviously it was very low budget but it was so good compared to so much other stuff I see on and off broadway I wanted so much more for it. I hope this show continues because I am DYING TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS IN ACT TWO!

Jane Shepard was a frequently produced member of NYC's indie theater scene a decade ago and I've missed seeing her work... The physical production is impressive, especially by festival standards...

What an original story! I loved it and felt that Meishar did a lovely job depicting and developing diverse characters. There was never a lull in the story, either. Great show!

Honestly Annie is one of the most terrifying, nerve wrecking, soul purging, and, ultimately, most wonderful and rewarding parts I have ever played.

A strong hour of theater that explores relationships, gender roles, sexuality and addiction with sensitivity and smarts. Sarah Jacobs is a wonderful actress who adds humor, lightness and honesty to the character. Emily's performance is grounded in truth and strength. Together, they take a journey well worth watching.

Literally ran from the Red Room to catch this show and it was SO WORTH IT. This show is hilarious, raunchy, and unexpectedly Russian. Up until tonight I never knew that dildos could be used as drum sticks. I'm so glad I know that now. Also, best cover of Miserlou ever. Go see this!

Fascinating history characterized by excellent perfomers in distinct voices.

Best show this year. This was a mind-broadening look at the history of Braille writing and its antecedents. As befits these humanist rebels, the story is presented in the Steampunk genre.

A hilarious, no-holds musical parody of the most famous murder case of the 1990s.
